MASTERY
...I don't believe in forcing strength adaptations...
For athletes who are no longer novices, I don't believe in forcing strength adaptations by continuously increasing weight or difficulty of a movement. Rather, I believe that increased strength will express itself through different achievements of mastery. In other words, I believe you get to lift heavier weights when you get stronger, which is contrary to the popular belief that "lifting heavier weights makes you stronger."
